2.3 Technical Information

We automatically collect technical details including IP address, browser type, and version.

3. How We Use Your Information

Primary Uses:

  • Generate interpretation outputs you request
  • Train and improve our AI Model
  • Manage your account and provide support
  • Improve our services and user experience

We process your data based on legitimate interests, contractual obligations, and your consent where required.

4. Third Party Access to Your Data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. However, we may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who support our operations:

Data Protection: When we transfer your personal data outside Nigeria, we ensure that the data recipient is subject to appropriate safeguards that afford an adequate level of protection, in accordance with the NDPA and global best practices.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. When data is no longer needed, we take appropriate steps to delete or anonymize it.

  • The nature of service you are using

  • The duration of your account with us
  • Legal, tax and regulatory obligations

You may request the deletion of your Personal data at any time by contacting us. Note that once user prompts have been added to our AI Model, such information is anonymized and no longer traceable to you.

7. Cookies and Session Recordings

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep Reedapt working, to count visits and to record sessions. You can turn analytics and recordings off at any time in . We keep that choice for twelve months.

7.1 Strictly Necessary

  • Keeping you signed in and protecting your session.
  • Remembering your language, your light or dark theme, and your privacy settings.
  • A random identifier for your browser, used to prevent abuse of free minutes.
  • Error reports, which have personal data removed before they leave your browser.
  • An identifier for the support chat, so our replies reach you.

7.2 Analytics

We count visits, pages viewed and clicks to see what is used and improve Reedapt. This uses cookies, so a return visit counts as the same person, and, if you are signed in, it is linked to your account. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

If you turn analytics off, we still count visits, but without cookies and never linked to you or your account. Nothing is stored in your browser except a note that you turned it off. So that one visit is not counted twice, our analytics provider makes a temporary code from your IP address and browser that changes every day.

Separately, and whatever you choose here, our servers count new accounts and finished dubs without anything that identifies you: no name, address, device or location.

7.3 Session Recordings

We record how you use Reedapt, including clicks, scrolling and what you type, with passwords and email addresses hidden, to find and fix problems. Only the Reedapt team views recordings, and they are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can turn recordings off in your privacy settings.

7.4 The Chat

When you message us in the chat, we receive your message, any images you attach, the page you were on, and your name and email address if you are signed in or give them to us. Images you attach are stored with our support tool and can be opened by anyone who has their link, which only you and the Reedapt team see. Unless you have turned session recordings off, your message also links to the recording of the moments before you wrote, so we can see the problem you describe. If you ask us to bring your conversations to another device, we email a one-time link to the address you give.

7.5 Surveys

We sometimes ask people who use Reedapt a few questions about how it is working for them. Answering is optional. If you answer, we receive your answers linked to your account, whether or not you have agreed to analytics, and use them only to improve Reedapt.

8. Your Rights

As a Data Subject, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to lodge complaints with NDPC
